Our Services
In 2024, the DCC welcomed 4,814 total visits to its Community Space.
The Division of Community Care (DCC) is dedicated to addressing the immediate and urgent needs of the Northampton community, ensuring that our responses are swift and effective. The DCC offers a comprehensive array of services tailored to meet the unique circumstances of each individual. Our personalized support plans, extensive case management, and connections to essential long-term resources such as housing, healthcare, and legal aid reflect our commitment to fostering well-being and stability within the community.
The DCC also operates a welcoming community space where individuals can access a free Legal Kiosk. This kiosk, provided in partnership with Western New England University School of Law’s Center for Social Justice, offers free access to legal information and assistance, court records, and Zoom. It aims to assist people in navigating the justice system and promoting digital equity. The kiosk is available on a first-come, first-served basis during regular hours, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Additionally, we facilitate community education programs, outreach initiatives, and prevention strategies to address and mitigate the root causes of crises, ensuring a proactive approach to community well-being.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do. Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
